Cyber security for North Wales businesses
Practical, affordable protection against the threats that actually hit small businesses: phishing, ransomware and email fraud. No scaremongering, just the sensible measures that keep you safe.
You do not need an enterprise security budget to be well protected. You need the right basics done properly and kept up to date. Most breaches that hit small businesses come down to a weak password, a missed update or a convincing email, and all three are preventable.
We harden the parts of your business that criminals actually go for, your email, your devices and your backups, and we explain every step in straightforward terms so you understand what you are protected against and why.
How we keep your business safe
Email protection
Filtering that stops spam, phishing and malicious attachments before they reach your team, plus the email authentication that makes you harder to impersonate.
Multi-factor authentication
The single biggest win: a second step at login so a stolen password is not enough to get in. We roll it out without making everyone's day harder.
Antivirus & firewall
Business-grade protection on every device and at the edge of your network, monitored and kept current rather than installed and forgotten.
Patching & updates
Out-of-date software is how a lot of attacks get in. We keep operating systems and key apps patched so the known holes are closed.
Staff awareness
Your team is your front line. We help them spot phishing, fake invoices and dodgy links, because the best filter still misses the cleverest emails.
Tested backups
Protection assumes something will go wrong eventually. Regular, tested backups mean a ransomware hit or a mistake is recoverable, not fatal.
Invoice fraud and email scams
One of the most common and costly attacks on small businesses is simple: a criminal gets into an email account, watches the conversation, then sends a convincing message asking to change the bank details on an invoice. The money lands in their account, not yours. Strong email security, multi-factor authentication and a simple "verify by phone" habit stop it.

Common questions
We are only a small business. Are we really a target?
Yes. Most attacks are not targeted, they are automated and aimed at whoever is easiest to catch, and smaller businesses are often the softest targets because their defences are thinner. The good news is that a handful of sensible, affordable measures stops the large majority of it.
What is the single most important thing we can do?
Turn on multi-factor authentication everywhere, especially on email and Microsoft 365. A stolen password is far less dangerous when a second factor is needed to use it. After that: regular backups you have actually tested, and a little staff awareness training.
Can you help us get Cyber Essentials certified?
We can do the practical preparation and hardening that gets you ready: device configuration, patching, firewalls, access control and multi-factor authentication. The certification itself is awarded by an approved assessment body, and we will point you to one and help you through it.
What happens if we do get hit?
Having tested backups and a clear recovery plan is what turns a disaster into an inconvenience. We help you put both in place before anything happens, and we are on the end of the phone if the worst does occur.
