IT projects and consultancy in North Wales
One-off projects and an expert second opinion, with no strings attached. From server work and migrations to office moves and network buildouts, planned and delivered in straightforward terms.
Sometimes you do not need ongoing support, you need a specific job done well: a new office set up, an old server replaced, a migration to the cloud, or simply an honest opinion on a decision. That is where our projects and consultancy work comes in.
With more than 20 years of hands-on experience across networks, servers, cloud and security, we plan the work properly, explain the options without the jargon, and deliver it with as little disruption to your business as possible.
Projects we take on
Office moves & fit-outs
Network, cabling, internet, phones and equipment planned so you are working from day one in the new premises.
Server work & replacement
Specifying, installing and configuring servers, or moving you off them entirely to the cloud where that makes more sense.
Cloud migrations
Moving email, files and systems to Microsoft 365 and the cloud, planned in stages so nothing is lost and work continues.
Network buildouts
Designing and installing the WiFi, cabling and switching a growing or changing business needs.
IT consultancy
An independent, straightforward second opinion on a plan, a quote or a problem, with no obligation to buy anything.
Vendor liaison
We deal with your software vendors, broadband providers and other trades on your behalf, so the IT side joins up cleanly.
Genuine technical depth, not just the basics
Behind the straightforward chat is more than 20 years of hands-on experience, so we can take on the work a lot of local firms quietly pass on. If your project needs proper networking, server or identity expertise, we have done it before.
Based in Ruthin with strong links to Chester, Wrexham, Bangor and Anglesey, we cover the work on site or remotely, a local service with the expertise you would expect from a much larger provider.
- Network topology & VLAN design
- Layer 2 / Layer 3 & inter-VLAN routing
- Fibre & point-to-point links
- Firewall configuration & management
- Windows & Linux servers
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- DNS, DHCP & single sign-on
- SAN & NAS storage
- Backup strategy & disaster recovery
Clear quotes, no surprises
Project work is always quoted clearly in advance, so you know exactly what you are getting and what it costs before we start. No mystery invoices, no scope that quietly balloons. We have seen the tricky edge cases, and we plan for them: the kind of not-so-straightforward migration we wrote about in our blog on a not-so-straightforward server migration is exactly the sort of thing experience pays off on.
Many project clients go on to take our managed IT support once everything is running nicely. Either way, tell us what you are planning or book a free IT review and we will point you in the right direction.
Common questions
Do we have to be a managed support client to use this?
No. We are happy to take on one-off projects and consultancy on their own, whether that is an office move, a server replacement, or a second opinion on a plan you have been given. Many businesses start with a project and move to ongoing support later.
Can you give us an independent second opinion?
Yes, and we will be straight with you. If a supplier has quoted for something and you are not sure it is right, we will review it in straightforward terms and tell you what we would do, with no strings attached.
We are moving office. Can you handle the IT side?
That is one of our most common projects. We plan the network, cabling, internet, phones and the move of your equipment so you are up and running on day one in the new place, with as little downtime as possible.
Can you project-manage work with other trades?
We can. If your project involves builders, electricians or your broadband provider, we are happy to liaise with them on your behalf so the IT side joins up with everything else and nobody is left waiting.
